Rochester Prep History
Since its founding in 2006, Rochester Prep has provided Rochester students and families with an award-winning instructional model that supports their academic and personal growth. We bring joy into learning and change history one student at a time.
Our First Middle School
2006
Uncommon Schools opens Rochester Prep Middle School - Brooks Campus as one of the first charter schools in the city. It is founded on the pillars of community, rigorous academics, and getting our founding class on the path to graduate from college.

Our First Elementary School
2010
We open Rochester Prep Elementary School to feed into our middle school. We are now able to educate students earlier and continue to close the achievement gap.
Our Growth
2011 - 2013
We open an additional elementary and middle school to reach more students in the city of Rochester.
Our First High School
2014
We open Rochester Prep High School and are one of the few charters in Rochester that operate an elementary, middle and high school. Rochester Prep students are immersed in college prep culture from their very first days with us through their high school graduation.
